# Getting Started Service Professional does not require a lot of setup, but there are some things you will need to setup to make the system work for you. Those items are: * **Employees** * **Ticket Status Preferences** * **Customer SMS Settings** We'll take a look at them here, to help you get things established. # Setting up Employees Setting up your employees will allow you to attach people to Service Cards, and keep track of who is doing what throughout the system. ## Adding Employees Click on 'Settings' along the left navigation bar, then click 'Employees' along the top series of tabs. ![EmployeeSettings](../images/EmployeeSettings.png) Click 'Add Employee' in the top left of this panel, and you will get a dialogue that lets you add your emloyee's details. ![EmployeeDetailDialogue](../images/AddEmployeeDialogue.png) After an employee has been added, you can click the pencil icon to the right, to make edits. If an employee is no longer working for your shop you can click the Edit pencil, and then uncheck the 'Active' box, to set them as 'Inactive'. >**Email Invite for Employees**: > >When an employee is added, they will receive an email from the system, and must click the 'Accept the invite' link in the email in order to finish their user registration. > >![EmailInvite](../images/EmailInvite2.png) # Configuring your Job Board Once you have your employees setup, it's time to setup your Job Board. The Job Board should reflect the workflow of vehicles as come in, get worked on, and leave your shop. In whatever way works best for your team. Start by again going to the 'Settings' button on the left navigation panel, then clicking 'Repair Order Settings'. You'll see a line to 'Add Repair Order Status'.
